Copycat Montgomery Inn BBQ Sauce

  • (Yields 2 pints)
  • 5 cups Ketchup
  • 1 cup Cider Vinegar
  • 1 tsp Tarragon
  • 1½ cups Sugar
  • 5 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 7½ tsp Chili Powder
  • 1½ tsp Red Pepper Flakes
  • 1 Head of Garlic peeled
  • 7 medium Onions quartered
  • ½ cup water
  1. Combine all of the ingredients in a large pot and bring to a boil.
  2. Reduce the heat and simmer for 1 hour. I usually let mine sit in the pot for a while to cool and combine flavors even more.
  3. Strain and pour the BBQ sauce into pint jars.
  4. Once the sauce is cool, close with the lid and store in the refrigerator.
