Slow Cooker French Dip

  • 4 lb Beef Roast
  • 1 tbsp of minced garlic
  • 1 small onion, quartered
  • 1 tbsp of rosemary
  • 3 bay leaves
  • 1 cup of soy sauce
  • 6 cup of water
  • 8 sub rolls
  • bell peppers (optional)
  • onions (optional)
  • cheese (optional)
  1. Place roast in the slow cooker.
  2. Place rosemary and bay leaves in a piece of cheesecloth and gather it up and tie with twine/string.
  3. Add the remaining ingredients and cook on Low for 8 to 10 hours.
  4. Remove the bay leaves and rosemary packet and discard.
  5. Remove and shred the beef. It should be very tender, and you should be able to do with with a couple of forks.
  6. Strain the juices into a bowl to serve as Au Jus.
  7. Return everything to the crockpot, turn to warm and serve.
  8. If you like, you can saute onions and peppers and add cheese to the sandwiches.
