Hickory Farms Gift Ideas and a Giveaway

There are so many Hickory Farms gift ideas to fit almost everyone’s taste and budget.  I love, love, love the mini melt away mints around this time of the year too.  My husband goes crazy for the sausage and my kids love the smoked cheese.  My husband doesn’t even like mustard but he goes crazy for all the different flavored mustard jars that come in these baskets too.  He practically hides them for himself.  I tease him every year.  I shouldn’t talk because I tend to hide the mints.  Sh!  Don’t say a word.

I’m so happy to be able to giveaway a Hickory Farms gift basket to one lucky reader!

  1. My mother-in-law and sister-in-laws always come to our home for Thanksgiving, which makes it less stressful for my wife. Not so much for me!!!

  2. I do as much of my prep work ahead of time and this year I am even planning to cook the turkey a day ahead and warm it when it’s time to eat.

  3. I also try to do everything I can ahead of time. This includes finishing shopping and wrapping by the beginning of December if I can so that I can dedicate the few weeks before the holidays to bake gifts and cook ahead for Christmas diinner.

  4. This year I let my sis in law host Thanksgiving. We cooked the turkey in our big slow cooker and took it to her house. It worked out great. She did all the sides and I didnt even have to clean my house…lol

  5. I agree with doing as much ahead of time as possible. Also I would advise not to try a new dish because it sounds delicious. Always make things you have done before.

  6. I make the holidays a bit less stressful by starting to Christmas shop in August and having all of my shopping done before Thanksgiving.
