Slow Cooker French Dip

Ingredients
  

  • 4 lb Beef Roast
  • 1 tbsp of minced garlic
  • 1 small onion quartered
  • 1 tbsp of rosemary
  • 3 bay leaves
  • 1 cup of soy sauce
  • 6 cup of water
  • 8 sub rolls
  • bell peppers optional
  • onions optional
  • cheese optional

Instructions
 

  • Place roast in the slow cooker.
  • Place rosemary and bay leaves in a piece of cheesecloth and gather it up and tie with twine/string.
  • Add the remaining ingredients and cook on Low for 8 to 10 hours.
  • Remove the bay leaves and rosemary packet and discard.
  • Remove and shred the beef. It should be very tender, and you should be able to do with with a couple of forks.
  • Strain the juices into a bowl to serve as Au Jus.
  • Return everything to the crockpot, turn to warm and serve.
  • If you like, you can saute onions and peppers and add cheese to the sandwiches.
