Easy Copycat Bisquick Mix
Easy Copycat Bisquick Mix
I am in love with being able to make things myself that I use all of the time. I make my own laundry detergent, foaming hand soap and now this Easy Copycat Bisquick Mix! Making my own just makes me feel good and it saves me a lot of money. I love to save money and I love keeping it simple and easy! Obviously, we cook a lot. And having a standard baking mix is a must in my house. But I always seem to run out…or I am just a little short for whatever it is I’m trying to make. Now that I make my own, I always have a container of it ready to go!

Easy Copycat Bisquick Mix
Ingredients
- 4 cups of flour
- 2 tablespoons of sugar
- 2 tablespoons of baking powder
- 1 teaspoon of salt
- 3/4 cup of shortening
Instructions
- Combine the flour, sugar, baking powder and salt in a large bowl.
- Cut in the shortening with a pastry blender until the mixture resembles fine crumbs.
- Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator.
This may sound weird, but I am tickled that this Easy Copycat Bisquick Mix recipe uses shortening. People just don’t use that anymore, and it reminds me of my granny and the way things used to be done. This will get you about 5 cups of baking mix and it just depends how much you use and how often as to how long it will last. Since you keep it in the fridge, it will last for a good amount of time.
Next time I make this, I am going to try to mix it in my Ninja! If you don’t have a pastry blender, this OXO Dough Blender is a great one! Be sure to check out all of our yummy recipes HERE!
Enjoy!
You left out the sugar in mixing instructions and you don’t tell the cook how much milk to use per cup of mix
