Cream Cheese Dip: The Best Chip Dip Ever!!!

Tired of the same old french onion and ranch dips? Then I’ve got something that will knock your socks off!   You’ve got to try making this cream cheese dip yourself. With only two ingredients you can’t go wrong and perfect for all the Superbowl parties coming up.  The guys love it!

Cream cheese dip

My mom has been making this chip dip since I was a baby. She says her and her friends ate it at every weekly bunco game. Everyone that comes to my house for games and get togethers has had this at one time or another. They always ask what’s in it and are surprised at the ingredient list.

It’s a really long list of ingredients so get ready to write . . . . .

Cream Cheese Dip Ingredients:

I told you it was a lot . . . not. But definitely surprising ingredients for chip dip.

This recipe is so easy it’s ridiculous.

Cream Cheese Dip

Start by setting the cream cheese out to soften. Let it get close to room temperature. Then heat 1/8 cup of water in the microwave and dissolve a chicken bullion cube in the water. I usually stir it with a fork until it dissolves.

Pour this and the block of soft, room temperature cream cheese into a mixing bowl and beat with an electric mixer until smooth and creamy.

Cream Cheese Dip

Viola.  The best chip dip ever!

It is a bit addicting so you might want to make a double batch.

  1. Here’s one passed on from my Mom, 8 oz. Cream cheese, 1 tablespoon onion powder, 1 1/2 teaspoons garlic salt, small amount of milk. Soften cream cheese add spices and mix together. Add milk in small amounts until it’s the dipping consistency you like. Refrigerate a few hours or overnight. Careful, it’s addicting!

  2. This was great! I used powered bullion, it was a teaspoon = one bullion cube. I actually added a little more bullion and water because my cream cheese wasn’t quite soft enough. What a hit! No one knew what was in it, but they all loved it! Thank you!!! This will be a regular after today!!!

  3. My mom has been making this since the 1950’s. Only she and now I use beef bullion. This way it will really knock your socks off.
