These Spooky Twinkie Mummies are so stinking cute, I don’t know if I could eat them. Just in case you missed it, we also posted a DIY Twinkie Frankenstein Recipe last week that would be so cute paired with these. I know I have been sharing a boat load of sweet treats lately, but I want to share as many options as possible with all of you during this festive season. These only take three ingredients and will definitely be one of the cutest treats at any party!

Spooky Twinkie Mummies

Prep Time 55 minutes
Cook Time 3 minutes
Total Time 58 minutes

Ingredients
  

  • 16 oz of white melting chips White Chocolate
  • 6 Twinkies
  • 12 candy eye decorations

Instructions
 

  • Place the Twinkies in the freezer for at least 30 minutes.
  • Prepare a baking sheet or cutting board by covering with parchment or wax paper.
  • Melt white candy chips by microwaving 30 seconds then stirring and repeating until melted.
  • Dip each Twinkie in chocolate and roll to completely coat. Then place on the prepared baking sheet.
  • Place 2 candy eyes on each Twinkie and allow to set for 3-4 minutes.
  • Lift each Twinkie to separate from paper.
  • Using a knife carefully trim excess chocolate that ran off of the mummies.
  • Pour or scoop the remaining melted chocolate to a zippered bag and clip a small corner to pipe/drizzle.
  • Drizzle chocolate back and forth across the Twinkie (avoiding the eyes) to get bandaged look.
  • Allow to set before serving.

The prep time for these Spooky Twinkie Mummies is about 55 minutes, but that includes the 30 minutes you have them in the freezer. So really, it’s not bad at all. Of course….I don’t think I could ever get away with just making 6 of these unless we were keeping them at home for ourselves. So for a party you’ll probably need to make several more.
