Quick Strawberry Banana Smoothie
If you saw our post yesterday with our Copycat McDonald’s Shamrock Shake, then you know I promised a delicious and easy smoothie recipe for today. Well I’m back to share our Quick Strawberry Banana Smoothie recipe with you! This is the most basic of smoothie recipes, add the fruit with a couple other simple ingredients and enjoy. The thing that I love about smoothies is that they are great any time of the day! Because it is made with good, healthy foods you can have this for breakfast, as a sweet treat on a hot day or make it for a vitamin filled after school snack! We always keep yogurt and lots of fresh fruit stocked up in our house and we make smoothies all of the time. So mix it up and use some of your favorite, in-season fruits for a variety of flavors.
- 1 sliced banana
- 1 cup of cut strawberries
- 1 cup of ice
- 6oz of vanilla yogurt
- ¼ cup of milk
- 2 tsp of honey
- Put all of the ingredients in the blender and blend until ice is crushed.
- Pour in glasses and serve immediately.
Done! That is all it takes to make this Quick Strawberry Banana Smoothie! If you have a problem with milk, try using almond or coconut milk instead. Some other variations that we like to do are blueberries and strawberries. Or one of my favorites is mango and pineapple with coconut flavored yogurt! If you have some delicious smoothie recipes that your family loves, feel free to share them with us in the comments!
This smoothie recipe book is also a great place for some new ideas! It has 150 recipes in it and includes ones with fruits and vegetables. Using vegetables in smoothies is also a great way to sneak them into your kids diet if they are extra picky. I know, it’s not the best way to go about it, but it works!
